A day full of family fun!

Yesterday was a day of family fun for us since it was Dave's day off from work. In the morning Dave's creative juices were flowing as he made a bass and a violin out of boxes for the boys to play. They loved it! I think we might have some little musicians in the making....what do you think?

Later in the day we took advantage of the beautiful autmn weather by hiking around in the Sandia Mountains. Well, with two toddlers and a baby, it was more of a walk than a hike. The trees were just starting to turn colors....beautiful. Hyrum and William had a great time picking up all the sticks. They loved being able to run wild! Thomas slept the whole time, soon enough he'll be running wild too.

Our Summer in a Nutshell

It's amazing how quickly this summer has passed by. I've collected a lot of pictures, but haven't taken the time to post very many of them. So, in a nutshell, here's some of our summertime favorites.

Watching Thomas Grow
Our little Thomas is not so little anymore. He has really chunked out over the past month. His cheeks are irresistible...I probably kiss them a hundred times a day. He just gets cuter and cuter everyday. We love him to pieces!!!

Two Busy Toddlers
Hyrum and William have not only kept me busy, they've also kept me smiling with the cute things they say and do.

Enjoying our Garden...Green Chili Anyone?
We've had a very productive garden this year. I've stayed busy picking tomatoes, peas, green beans, bell peppers and of course, green chili. Once we pick them we roast, peel, chop and freeze them to enjoy all year long. Dave loves to put green chili in just about any dish he can. We also canned about a year supply of salsa from all our pickings...yummy!

Our Title of Liberty (AKA "The Nice Flag")

Last night for family home evening we talked about Captain Moroni and the Title of Liberty. For our activity we made a "nice flag" to help remind us to be nice. Unfortunately the flag was a bit counterproductive, being used mostly as a hitting tool. Oh, well...it was a good thought and the boys had a great time making it with daddy.
