On April 6th I remembered and honored my mother who passed away 6 years ago. I reflected on the things she taught me and thought I'd share them with you. This list barely scratches the surface of who my mother was and the legacy she left for me to follow. I miss her dearly and want to remember/honor her by making these things a part of my life.
- Put others over self, ALWAYS
- Magnify your calling
- Do little, unexpected things to tell your children you love them and (this also helps them to recognize their individual worth)
- Develop your talents (even the ones you didn't think you had)-sometimes this involes doing things outside of your comfort zone
- Get involved in school, church, community
- Work hard, ALWAYS
- Be prepared-in all aspects of life
- If you're going to do something, give it your all
- Never, never, never give up!

I really enjoy the memories I have of your mom staying with us at Ricks, she is a wonderful person.
Holly you made me cry. Thanks for sharing those great memories. I love moms! As I read your description of her, I thought of you. You might be more like her than you think!
