Albuquerque is home of the annual Balloon Fiesta. It is a spectacular event where hundrends of balloonists come from all around the world to participate in mass ascensions, flying competitions, and other fun events. Yesterday morning we got up early and drove to a place where we could park and watch the balloons ascend. It was amazing to see the sky fill with color. It's hard to describe just how awesome this is and the pictures don't do justice at all. I guess you will all have to come out and see it for yourselves. You are welcome in our home anytime!!!

These are "special shape" balloons, meaning they are not the normal hot air balloon shape. It's amazing what shapes and characters they turn into balloons. I have no idea what these are, but they look cool since we were so close to them.

The balloons are just amazing! They take my breath away every time we go see them. Your backyard looks awesome too, you have put in a lot of hard work.
I'm sad we missed the Balloon Fiesta this year. That is one of my favorite things about Fall in New Mexico.
Cole saw a picture of Hyrum today as I downloaded photos to the computer then kept talking about Hyer. He also sees cars like yours here then talks about Hyrum and William all day. He misses his buddy.
I am so glad to hear from you!! I could not find your blog again. Your family is way cute. I love the hotair balloons. How awesome!! How long have you been in New Mexico? My oldest just started plying the violin. She is five. How long has your husband played and made violins?

Hi Dave and Holly! I found your blog through the Homers. You probably gave it to Joseph at some point, but somehow that info never got to me to add to our blog. :o( Anyway, it was fun to look through your blog and see how big your boys have gotten. What a beautiful family you have!
So cool! Wish we could have been there! We really thought about coming, but the plane tickets didn't work, and our car started to break down a lot. Oh, well! (I'm making a comment on the projects post so be sure to read it!)
Hey Holly! So fun to find people in the ward with blogs! Ours is leefamilia.blogspot.com. Great job on the brick patio. We just did a small one, but unfortunately ours is probably more like the one you originally did and pulled up! A little uneven... :) We've got to go walking or something one of these days. :)
Hi Holly! I found your blog through Kristie Lee's (hope you don't mind). You're boys are getting so big I can't believe it! See you later!
